Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using the Follow The News Chrome extension ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Services Provided
The Service summarizes news articles and displays coverage from other sources using the OpenAI API. This project is a hobby project and is offered “as-is”.
Any usage fees (token costs) incurred when you call the OpenAI API through the extension are billed directly to your own OpenAI account.
3. Future Paid Features
We may introduce optional paid features in the future. Details of pricing and functionality will be announced before launch. Your continued use of the Service after paid features become available constitutes acceptance of any related terms and pricing.
4. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
- You must not use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or misleading purposes.
5. Intellectual Property
The extension’s source code is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the code in accordance with that license. All trademarks and logos remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Follow The News shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service.
7. Warranties
The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content. Always verify information with primary sources.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Finland.
